RJ Lasertechnik has been able to process sensitive components with high requirements for cleanliness and particle purity in our own cleanroom since the beginning of 2019.
Our ISO class 8 cleanroom in accordance with ISO 14644-1 offers a usable area of 85 sqm. The conditioned air, which is cleaned with Hepa filters, is circulated 24 times per hour, ensuring constant, controlled conditions in the cleanroom.
Cleanroom class 8 is a class better than the classification applicable for manu-facturing processes.
There are currently three laser welding systems in the cleanroom that can process both 2D and 3D components with laser welds. The laser sources used are pulsed Nd:YAG lasers and QCW fibre lasers with pulse powers up to 3 kW and can weld almost all metals up to a penetration depth of 2 mm.
The typical dimensions of the components for laser welding in the cleanroom are 400 x 300 x 100 mm for 3D welding and 200 x 200 x 100 mm for 2D welding applications.
A helium leak test device, a pressure drop test, dye penetrant test, black light test and microscopy devices can be used for testing in the cleanroom.
If your components are also used in the fields of semiconductor technology or medical technology, we can offer you laser welding in the cleanroom and quality assurance under strictly controlled conditions, with the least amount of subsequent cleaning.
