25 years of laser technology and mechanical engineering

RJ Lasertechnik GmbH was founded in Heinsberg on 15 December 1991. In January 1992, however, the headquarters were relocated to Übach-Palenberg in the Jülicherstraße plant, where operations began.

RJ Lasertechnik GmbH celebrates its 25th company anniversary on 25 December 2017. The shareholders Ralf Risters and Jürgen Jannsen founded the company on 5 December 1991 in Heinsberg as a spin-off of the Aachen Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology FhG ILT.

As early as January 1992, the company relocated to the newly renovated facility in Übach-Palenberg on Jülicherstraße, a former window construction workshop.

After a turbulent start-up phase, continuous growth followed and required the first relocation of the business premises at F.W.Raiffeisenstrasse to larger premises. In 2003, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new company building took place at the current location at Boschstraße 20.

The location in the southernmost tip of the Heinsberg district still represents a good geographical starting position in the Euregio economic area.
